They Still Can't Tell The Truth!

Yesterday, and today, the Mainstream Propaganda Machine (MPM), formerly mislabelled as the Mainstream Media, continued to bash the Bush Administration for its "the unconstitutional use of illegal wire-taps of Domestic (actually they are international) telephone calls and e-mails. All while the MPM had possession of the following court decision.

No surprise here. The MPM has never allowed the facts get in the way of a good lie!

On 1/15/2009, a special appeals court announced that it has upheld the Bush administration’s program of warrant less surveillance. The court also upheld the Protect America Act of 2007, which required telecommunications providers to assist the government for national security purposes in intercepting international phone calls and e-mails between the U.S. and points overseas.

The decision, which involves the gathering of foreign intelligence, was made last August but only released yesterday, after it had been edited to remove classified information.

The U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) said that the time needed to acquire warrants would hinder government's ability to collect time-sensitive information, and impede vital national interests.

The court stated that, "Our decision does not constitute an endorsement of broad-based, indiscriminate executive power, Rather, our decision recognizes that where the government has instituted several layers of serviceable safeguards ... its efforts to protect national security should not be frustrated by the courts."

The decision upheld an opinion by U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton of the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court.

The Justice Department stated that it was pleased with the ruling.

As is to be expected, the ACLU stuck to its anti-American agenda saying, “Government monitoring of Americans' phone calls and e-mails should require a court warrant beforehand.”

The ACLU is planning further challenges to the wire-tap policies.

I looked it up and found this to be true. But I have not heard it on any broadcast news!

If it's the MSM or MPM it must be wrong, especially if it has to do with GWB or the Fight for the RIGHT!
