“Comprehensive” means loaded with “CRAP”!

Whenever Congress passes a “comprehensive” bill, we can be certain of two things.

One it will be loaded with ridiculous measures that stand no chance of passage on their own.

Two it will be poorly thought out without any consideration of the “Rule of Unexpected Consequences”.

A few fairly recent examples:

“The Comprehensive Immigration Act of 2007”-A bill promoted as a “Comprehensive” address of problems dealing with border control and guest worker reform, was in really a mass amnesty give away bill; An ill conceived, stupid and disastrous attempt to sell out to special interests and to establish a huge voter base for Democrats.

“The SCHIP Act”—A bill said to provide medical care for poor children. It was in fact, an attempt to implement “socialized” medicine by insuring almost everyone under age 25.

History has taught us that every "comprehensive" measure passed by Congress is wrought with problems and unexpected consequences.

Every President should take an oath to veto ALL comprehensive bills that crosses his/her desk, especially the pending “Energy Policy”.
