"2/3 Of Veteran's Charities Are Rated Unsatisfactory"

The American Institute of Philanthropy has studied the federal tax filings on 29 of the leading veteran’s charities.

The institutes's report suggests that 2/3 of the 29 military charities studied were, at the very least, managing their resources poorly. The American Institute of Philanthropy any charity which gives less that than 33% of the raised funds to the injured troops is rated as unsatisfactory.
Most of the organizations earning an unsatisfactory rating are guilty of mismanagement or the use of poor and expensive fund raising techniques, a couple of the organizations appear to be frauds. One donated only 1% of all funds raised to the intended beneficiaries.
