Bush Struck A Nerve

Yesterday, on the 60th anniversary of Israel’s independence, President George W. Bush addressed the Israeli Knesset. In that speech, Mr. Bush made reference as to how Jew’s and others paid the price of appeasement in the 1930’s. He singled out a Republican Senator from Idaho that echoed the desire for appeasement.

He also made reference to the fact that there are current individuals advocating appeasement. Mr. Bush never referenced any individual or group an as appeaser.

In view of recent history, the likely target as a current appeaser would be James Earl Carter who recently took it upon himself to negotiate a peace agreement with Hamas. He announced that such an agreement had been arranged, only to have Hamas publicly announce that Carter’s claim was bogus.

Apparently, several Democrat’s felt that the word “appeasement” was descriptive of themselves and/or their party and became outraged.

The Madam, Nancy Pelosi apparently thought that her visit to Syria and the associated effort to undermine the war in Iraq, and her efforts to alienate Turkey, are perceived as “appeasement”.

Sen. Joe Bidden mistakenly thought that one of his standard traits like plagiarism, or calls to surrender, or calls for redeployment was “appeasement”.

John Kerry remembered that North Vietnam gave him an award for his betrayal of America while he was still a military officer. He also remembered his shameful lying about crimes he claimed were committed by our troops. He mistakenly thought Mr. Bush was calling his acts of treason, “appeasement”.

“The War Is Lost” statement by the Senator Harry 'The Dunce' Reid could have easily been confused as an act of “appeasement”. So he was upset! When is Reid not upset?

Many others have similar problems that triggered their defensive ire.

John Murtha did not notice the event at all. He was to busy transferring cash to his taxpayer funded Corporations where the only product is the reelection of “Pork” Murtha.

Hillary seized another opportunity to attack Bush. Someone should tell Hillary that Bush is not running for reelection.

Then there is BO! He actually said that he would set down “without preconditions” and talk with Iran and others. That sounds like “appeasement” to me!

BO apparently thought so! Today he issued a speech which tops anything from Bill or Hillary. He spoke from beginning to end without a single factual statement. I would say that he was lying, but the MSM and all the Dem.’s would call me a racist!

Oh to hell with it! BO is a Liar!!

After hearing BO's response to the Bush speech, one can only conclude that Obama thinks himself to be an appeaser and doesn't want that trait to be pointed out.

I have listened to the Bush speech several times and I have not heard any reference to Barack, Hillary, or any Democrat.

They must feel guilty.

If the shoe fits---

It seems that ALL the Democrats including Obama seem to think that it does.
